Historical and gothic
Manor houses, Victorian London, a curse nobody believes in. Jess Armstrong's The Curse of Penryth Hall has been one of our most-packed mysteries.
Crime and psychological
Detectives, cold cases and narrators you can't trust. If you also like thrillers, add Thriller and say how dark is too dark.
I love the variety and the surprise of discovering new mystery books I may not have picked out on my own. Everything was packaged nicely, and the whole experience made opening the box feel extra fun. I’m definitely looking forward to reading through my selections and ordering again. Thank you!

Questions
Is TheBookScription only mystery novels?
No. “Mystery” in our name means the titles are a surprise. Your box follows the genres you pick (14 to choose from), so pick Mystery if you want mystery novels in it.
Can I ask for cozy mysteries only, nothing violent?
Yes, tell your curator in your note: “cozy only, no graphic violence” is a request we read and follow when we choose your books. Because you pick at least four genres, add other gentle ones you enjoy too.
Can I get a series in order?
Tell us which series you read and how far you are in your note, and list the books you own. We don't send a book you've told us you own, and we track every book we send you.
How fast does a box arrive?
Orders are packed in 1 to 3 business days, then take 3 to 5 business days to arrive. Shipping is free anywhere in the 50 U.S. states.
